mixed obsessions

it's friday. the week has come to an end and weekend mode is in full force; lots of eating, relaxing, and maybe a project or two. the weekend is something i always look forward to, even in the summer because it is quality time i get to spend with my family. here are a few projects i have completed lately and a few i hope to tackle this summer weekend.

innovative watering can for a wreath. (mothers day maybe?)

diy i have to try. july 4 must have.

first project i'm putting on the list are those shorts, off to the thrift store. happy weekend!

diy: anything goes

like any other girl, i have a small obsession with pinterest and have an extensive diy list that may be never end. needless to say i can now check off one thing i have completed. i have been wanting something that can hold random odds and ends throughout the house and ran across these easy to make mason jars. 

all you need is an empty glass jar, i bought these, but pickle jars work just as well.

just some ideas:

 throw some hot chocolate mix in there and tie a cute bow with recipe card and you've got a great gift

 paperclips or desk supplies

 cotton balls

summer bucket list

to get the summer started off right, there is nothing better than a good bucket list to motivate trying new things. first on the list: start a blog. it is something i have always wanted to do, but never thought it would be something i would upkeep or better yet, know how to. for this first post i'll share a few things that have caught my fancy.
